What is hospice care?
Hospice care is specialized support for individuals with a terminal illness and a life expectancy of six months or less, focusing on comfort rather than curative treatment. It includes pain relief, symptom management, emotional support, and spiritual care.

Palliative care is medical support for individuals with serious illness, regardless of prognosis. It can be provided alongside curative treatments and focuses on managing pain, symptoms, and stress.

When curative treatments are no longer effective or desired, and the focus shifts to quality of life and comfort. It is most beneficial when started early to allow full support.
