What is Private Duty Home Care?

Private Duty Home Care provides non-medical, in-home support such as personal care, companionship, homemaking, and respite—designed to help individuals live independently and comfortably around the clock.

It’s ideal for:

  • Seniors aging in place
  • Individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions
  • Post-surgical or injury recovery
  • New moms, veterans, or anyone needing temporary or long-term support

Safe Life offers:

  • Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility
  • Companion care: conversation, errands, appointments
  • Meal prep & nutrition support
  • Light homemaking: laundry, dishes, trash removal
  • Respite care: temporary relief for family caregivers
Our caregivers are background-checked, bonded, insured, and carefully matched to each client based on personality, language, experience, and individual needs. Ongoing supervision ensures consistent, quality service.
Private Duty care can begin as soon as 24–48 hours after a no-obligation consultation, caregiver match, and scheduling are confirmed.

Options include:

  •   Hourly care (minimum hours apply)
  •   Part-time (e.g. weekdays only)
  •   Full-time
  •   Overnight and live-in care
  •   Short-term or emergency coverage

Primarily private pay, but may also be covered by:

  • Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance
  • VA Aid & Attendance benefits
  • Some Medicaid waivers for eligible individuals
